This is typically a book blogging meme, but I’m stealing it anyway, because I did receive a guide in my mailbox today. A great friend bought me the Bioshock guide for my birthday since I received the game, also for my birthday.
I announced the new gift on Twitter, and I’ve already been hit by so many people to not read ahead in the guide. Apparently they didn’t realize that most guides will spoil the story if you read ahead, because um, well, they have to tell you who the upcoming bosses are. I know! Shame on them!
But the point has been taken. I will not read it too much, just flip through it for the initial impressions.
But now I have a difficult decision to make. Last Remnant was next on the to-be-reviewed list for guides, and now that I have the guide to Bioshock, I kind of want to bump it out of line. I know I shouldn’t do that, because then I may bump something else out of line, like Twilight Princess, despite my New Year’s Resolution to finish it this year. I’m already talking myself out of it, telling myself that one Zelda game a year is good enough. Hehehehehe.
