inFamous is IN, Tales Close to OUT

June 1, 2009 By Keri Honea Leave a Comment

Two good gamer friends have sent me lengthy e-mails both stating close to the same things about why I should put aside my fears and dive into the fun of inFamous. So thanks to Mike and Nick, I will be playing inFamous and reviewing the accompanying guide.

And it may be sooner than planned.

I am having… difficulty finishing the Tales sequel for the Wii. The gameplay is still fun, but the story is kind of boring. It seems to be way too parallel to the first game, almost like they slapped the same route with different characters with the interweaving of characters from the first game. I never even played the first game but I can tell it’s virtually the same. How? We’re collecting Centurion cores. The characters from the first game have mentioned several times that we’re going to the same places as where they found the Summoning Spirits. Really? The same places? I know it’s the same world, but you couldn’t think of different places to put the cores?

Although, I hate to quit something when I’m pretty much halfway done, even if the story is boring and a little too Pokemon for me at times. Of course, it doesn’t help that inFamous is soooo tempting…
