A Strategy Guide for your Strategy Guides
Remember the first boxed set of the Final Fantasy strategy guides? Yeah, those were met with mixed results. They’ve released a second boxed set that includes strategy guides from Final Fantasy X, Final Fantasy X-2, and Final Fantasy XII. How does this second set match up to the first? Better? The same? What can we expect for this large sum of cash?
Well, here’s your Final Fantasy Strategy Guide Boxed Set 2 in all of its unboxing glory.
Halo 5: Guardians released this past Tuesday and so did the strategy guide! Like yesterday’s Assassin’s Creed Syndicate strategy guide, there are two versions of the Halo 5 strategy guide—a standard paperback and a hardcover collector’s edition. So why spend the extra dough on the CE for this one, especially since it’s a multiplayer-heavy game? We comb through it and find out.
As has been tradition, the strategy guide for Assassin’s Creed Syndicate has both a paperback edition and badass, hardcover collector’s edition. The big difference between the two lies in about $10-$15. So why pick the CE over the paperback for AC Syndicate?
From what I’ve played with it as shown below, it’s definitely worth the extra moolah.

Prima Games has announced that their newest upcoming guide will be for Skylanders Superchargers, and they will print both a paperback and a collector’s edition. BradyGames printed a CE last year of Skylanders Trap Team, so it’s not that surprising that Prima is going to follow suit with yet another Skylanders CE of a strategy guide.

The Skylanders Superchargers Collector’s Edition strategy guide will also include a 32-page Skylanders comic book from IDW. I personally am not that hardcore into Skylanders to want a comic book, but I know my son definitely is, and I’m sure many others (as well as kids) would be too.
Both are already available for preorder from Amazon and other retailers. The price difference between the two is only $9, which is far less than the typical spread between paperback strategy guides and their CE counterparts.
