I think we wanted to, considering all the bad rumors we heard about it. When I spoke with Brad soon after he started playing the game, he sadly confirmed the rumors with me, something he will get into more in his video review.

Now before you get harsh with his video review, keep this in mind. Brad’s computer decided to die, which never happens at a convenient time. As such, he filmed this on his iPad. So yes, it’s not the best quality, but he did it. That’s all that is important. And you can probably guess from his score that it’s not the best strategy guide out there. Brad explains why below.

Uncharted 4 Strategy Guide Review

Uncharted 4 strategy guide reviewRemember way back in May when Uncharted 4 finally hit the PlayStation 4? Well we figured it was about time that we give the Prima Games Uncharted 4 strategy guide a little love. In the name of trying something a little different, I decided to give this review a go using ONLY the digital edition.

After spending so long focusing on the print edition of guides (which is my obvious preference) it was interesting to see some of the unique elements that give the digital editions a leg up on their parchment-chained counterparts. This was an interesting exercise that I think would be worth exploring at a later date, so stay tuned to see what else is in store down the road.

Now back to the actual guide… The Uncharted 4 strategy guide may be one of the most thorough single-player campaign walkthroughs I have ever seen in an action game. The level of detail they went to was fantastic. However, the online multiplayer portion left quite a bit to be desired. But I don’t want to spoil everything here in text. Why Should I Buy? Unboxing The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Strategy Guide

I actually recorded this video after I returned from PAX West, uploaded it to our YouTube channel, and then promptly forgot to post it here. Some day, I will get it together and do things properly. But regardless, here is Prima Games’ newest strategy guide for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, the Complete Strategy Guide. It contains everything from the first strategy guide as well as all of the DLC and expansions. I am prepared to sit down and dedicate 300 hours of my life to this game. I think. I am, right?

At least David S. J. Hodgson has returned for the expansions. I’m fairly certain the strategy guide will be amazing for that fact alone.

Can’t deny how beautiful this book is at the very least.

DOOM strategy guide reviewWithout a doubt, DOOM is my shooter of the year for 2016. Bethesda and id have done so much to get back on track with the Doom franchise, and DOOM does exactly that. It hits all those lovely nostalgic notes all while keeping the gameplay fast and fresh. I cannot wait for the inevitable sequels to come. That said, however, how does the DOOM strategy guide stack up in comparison?

The DOOM strategy guide does a lot well, but a few things frustrated me too much to give the overall guide that perfect score. Actually, in that regard, it’s a lot like the video game itself. Our DOOM strategy guide review goes over all of that, and I try not to talk too quickly. I think I failed in that regard.

And ignore the page torn out of the book. Toddlers and strategy guides just don’t mix. There’s your PSA of the day, folks.

Hyrule Warriors Legends Strategy Guide Review

Hyrule Warriors Legends strategy guide review Since the strategy guide for Hyrule Warriors was pretty darn great, I had high hopes for the Hyrule Warriors Legends strategy guide. Most of it should fall in line with the first guide/game, just now with Linkle, additional missions, new Adventure mode maps, and amiibo info. In other words, these guys didn’t have it easy, even if they had a base guide, if you will, to fall back on. The Hyrule Warriors Legends strategy guide does a lot to keep me happy, but I had a beef to grind with it as well. A small beef. It’s so small, those ladies from the 80s are asking where it is.
