Keri rocked her portion of the Extra Life event that happened on Saturday, November 7. She got new tattoos, tried out streaming for the first time, and played new games. It sounds like she had one heck of a great time. Me, well I was working a wedding so I had to delay my participation in this great event. Thanks to all who donated and pushed us well past our team goal!

SGR Coffee Break 41 – The Potential Stress of Choice in Games

While playing Until Dawn, I was texting Keri about my decision to try and kill everyone off. This led to a small chat about how choices in games can not only be stressful, but how they can also lead to not wanting to complete a game. I’m looking at you, Mass Effect. We decided to expand on our simple IM conversation and dive deeper into this rabbit hole. Keri explains why decisions stress her out and I dive into what I had to do to finally have a good time with games where my choices affected the ending. October 21, 2015 is the day that Marty McFly arrives in the future. Well, that is the idea behind Back to the Future Part II. Yes, yesterday was a massive celebration for all thing Back to the Future related. It was a great day to sit back and reflect just how fun that movie trilogy was. Hell, it still holds up today. While the movie got the Cubs winning the World Series wrong, it got a lot of things right. So, Keri and I sit down to reminisce about Back to the Future! Hey, Keri broke out her LEGO DeLorean from LEGO Dimensions, so we had some sort of gaming in this one 😉

SGR Coffee Break #38 – Extra Life 2015

Keri and I reminisce about our prior experiences with the greatness that is the Extra Life event. So many great times such as Ring Around the Rosy at 5AM, Keri and I getting Zelda themed tattoos, a donation that forced Blake to play League of Legends, and so much more. This year is shaping up to be another great year. While there is no great gathering of friends like there was last year, we will use technology to keep in touch and maybe even play games together. Let’s rock that lack of sleep, blister up our thumbs, and help sick kids!
