The Mass Effect: Andromeda Collector’s Edition strategy guide arrived today, one week after the game’s release, but it is definitely worth the wait. I’m happy I bought it even though I didn’t enjoy the game very much. For starters, I love strategy guides (duh) and secondly, backpacks are cool. Can’t have too many backpacks. You can have too many purses, but too many backpacks? Please.

And thus I have it, and I am rather pleased with it. Super thankful for my Amazon Prime discount, though, because I don’t believe the Pathfinder Edition is entirely worth $130. Watch the video for yourself to see why!

And now it is time for me to roll a new character and play the way I WANT to play. I think I’m gonna like this strategy guide-only thing with video games.

Unboxing The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Collector’s Edition Strategy Guide (Video)

I had hoped I’d have the strategy guide for Breath of the Wild today, and I was not disappointed. It arrived, and it appears to be everything I hoped for in a Legend of Zelda strategy guide. Please note I said “appears.” This is not a review of the guide at all, merely an initial impressions, if you will.

Who’s ready to see what’s inside?

I’m not reviewing anything right now, which is amazing, to be honest. As such, I hope to spend lots and lots of time with Link and Hyrule. It helps that this is portable. I haven’t really played with it yet and I’m already loving the Switch.

Nioh Strategy Guide from Future Press Available for Preorder

Nioh strategy guideFuture Press has been so quiet for so long, and now they’re doing ALL THE THINGS! It’s been confirmed that they are publishing a guide-ish book for The Last Guardian and an official Horizon: Zero Dawn strategy guide. Now an official Nioh strategy guide has popped up on Amazon for preorder.

Nioh released on February 7, 2017, and its tales of extreme difficulty have already made the rounds. I personally hated Nioh within the first two minutes of playing, due to its steep difficulty. I wondered if there would be a strategy guide, as both the Dark Souls series and Bloodborne had fantastic strategy guides. Oh wait, Future Press did all those too, didn’t they? Why am I not surprised?

But I digress. Nioh is already out, but the strategy guide will not hit store shelves until April 12, 2017. Future Press did something quite similar with Bayonetta, where the book released months after the game did. That said though, the strategy guide was impeccable. Since the Nioh strategy guide is releasing a couple of months later, it will include the game’s DLC as well.

Team Ninja’s Nioh is the very definition of an epic-scale game in need of an encyclopedic tome, and we’re not going to let it go without.

Why Should I Buy? Unboxing The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Strategy Guide

I actually recorded this video after I returned from PAX West, uploaded it to our YouTube channel, and then promptly forgot to post it here. Some day, I will get it together and do things properly. But regardless, here is Prima Games’ newest strategy guide for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, the Complete Strategy Guide. It contains everything from the first strategy guide as well as all of the DLC and expansions. I am prepared to sit down and dedicate 300 hours of my life to this game. I think. I am, right?

At least David S. J. Hodgson has returned for the expansions. I’m fairly certain the strategy guide will be amazing for that fact alone.

Can’t deny how beautiful this book is at the very least.

Aside from the pretty cover, which is extremely pretty, we reveal all that is unique from the standard paperback strategy guide. This is gonna be another collector’s edition where it really depends upon your personal tastes and what is important to you.
