I know, I know, I got this bad boy last week, but hey, I’m unboxing it now! I didn’t even open the Amazon box until right before the video; that’s how much I love you guys. If you haven’t seen this strategy guide yet, trust me, you won’t be prepared for how massive it is. It’s ridiculous.

And I love it.

Unboxing the Horizon: Zero Dawn Collector’s Edition Strategy Guide

We’ve been patiently waiting for Future Press to publish their strategy guide for Horizon: Zero Dawn, and it’s finally here. Many of you lucky ducks got yours on Friday, but I had to wait until Tuesday for mine. Doesn’t Amazon KNOW I’m the strategy guide aficionado around here? I’m supposed to get this stuff first. I think most of the rest of the world knows this by now. Amazon needs to step up their game!

I am pretty blown away about this guide, and I haven’t even used it for the game yet. I admit I’m a little biased toward Future Press off the bat, but they haven’t let me down with a strategy guide yet. I think Chris can concur with me. He still raves about their Dark Souls and Soul Calibur V strategy guides.

But without further ado, here is Future Press’ Horizon: Zero Dawn collector’s edition strategy guide.

Unboxing the Mass Effect: Andromeda Collector’s Edition Strategy Guide

The Mass Effect: Andromeda Collector’s Edition strategy guide arrived today, one week after the game’s release, but it is definitely worth the wait. I’m happy I bought it even though I didn’t enjoy the game very much. For starters, I love strategy guides (duh) and secondly, backpacks are cool. Can’t have too many backpacks. You can have too many purses, but too many backpacks? Please.

And thus I have it, and I am rather pleased with it. Super thankful for my Amazon Prime discount, though, because I don’t believe the Pathfinder Edition is entirely worth $130. Watch the video for yourself to see why!

And now it is time for me to roll a new character and play the way I WANT to play. I think I’m gonna like this strategy guide-only thing with video games.

Unboxing The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Collector’s Edition Strategy Guide (Video)

I had hoped I’d have the strategy guide for Breath of the Wild today, and I was not disappointed. It arrived, and it appears to be everything I hoped for in a Legend of Zelda strategy guide. Please note I said “appears.” This is not a review of the guide at all, merely an initial impressions, if you will.

Who’s ready to see what’s inside?

I’m not reviewing anything right now, which is amazing, to be honest. As such, I hope to spend lots and lots of time with Link and Hyrule. It helps that this is portable. I haven’t really played with it yet and I’m already loving the Switch.

Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Special Edition Unboxing Video

Well that was fast! I was not expecting The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild collector’s edition this soon. I found one on Friday for a decent mark-up price, but the estimated delivery date wasn’t until the end of this week. Imagine my surprise when I received the alert that it was out for delivery this morning. So I have the console, the game, and the strategy guide is on the way. Question is, can I wait for the strategy guide to come in before I jump into Hyrule?

Second question is, will I actually finish this game? Zelda and I have a weird relationship with their open world games. Still haven’t finished WindWaker OR Twilight Princess. But I want to. Does that count for anything?

Well without further ado, here’s what’s inside the Special Edition for BotW. I was genuinely surprised by one item, and I’m happy to report that this video isn’t nearly as awkward as the last. Progress!

The BotW collector’s edition strategy guide will reportedly arrive tomorrow. This is one of two CEs purchased. Don’t judge, and don’t ask.
