Unboxing the Horizon: Zero Dawn Collector’s Edition (Video)

February 28, 2017 By Keri Honea Leave a Comment

I had no idea my last video game collector’s edition was for World of Final Fantasy! Wow that has been a long time! So happy I can break that fast with the Horizon: Zero Dawn collector’s edition. This collector’s edition was everything I had hoped for, and I’m not disappointed with any of it. I can’t wait for the strategy guide to arrive so I can unbox that one as well AND play the game. I’m going to use this time instead to play more Tales of Berseria, because I have missed that game so much in the name of reviews.

Did you pick up the Horizon: Zero Dawn Collector’s Edition? How do you like it?

Unboxing the Final Fantasy XV Collector’s Edition Strategy Guide – Why Should I Buy?

November 29, 2016 By Keri Honea 4 Comments

I honestly never thought Final Fantasy XV would release in 2016, but Square Enix has proven me wrong once again. It’s out on store shelves, and so is its strategy guide by Piggyback. I haven’t had a Piggyback strategy guide in what seems like eons. My initial experiences with their guides was rather rough, but they have improved so much over the years, so I am delighted they have taken the helm for FFXV. I’m even more delighted that I’ve already had the game for a couple of days, because I have questions regarding what the strategy guide covers and how it covers them.

This isn’t a full review of the Final Fantasy XV Collector’s Edition strategy guide, but I do look into some answers for the questions I already have. All I have left to do now, other than cuddle with this beautiful book, is see just how well these strategies work, how efficiently the book is presented, and all that other jazz I get obsessed with.

Yes, I did get a little excited. I regret nothing.

Playing with Power: Nintendo NES Classics Review

November 18, 2016 By Chris Nitz Leave a Comment

I grew up playing a lot of Nintendo. While the Atari 2600 was my first console, it was the NES that totally got me hooked on gaming. The amount of time my friends and I spent sitting on the floor playing some random game my parents rented from the local video store is countless. Prima Games has now tapped into that nostalgia with their Playing with Power: Nintendo NES Classics book. This book comes with all kinds of little tidbits of Nintendo information, as well as guides for some of the most popular NES games.

Prima Games, please make more of these! PLEASE!!!!

Dishonored 2 Collector’s Edition Strategy Guide – Why Should I Buy?

November 14, 2016 By Keri Honea 2 Comments

Dishonored 2 released on a Friday, and this lovely strategy guide showed up over the weekend. Is it worth the extra cash for purchase? We crack it open and explore it a little bit and show what you can expect. I couldn’t give a definitive yay or nay on purchasing, but check it out for yourself and see if you find it to be worth the extra cash.

It really is stunning. Can’t wait to see how it helps this stealth-hater get through a stealth-ish playthrough.

Unboxing the World of Final Fantasy Collector’s Edition (Video)

October 26, 2016 By Keri Honea Leave a Comment

World of Final Fantasy collectors edition

It seems like it’s been forever since I’ve done my last collector’s edition unboxing video for a game. I’ve preordered a lot this Fall (translation: too many) so there should be plenty of videos in the near future. Today I have the World of Final Fantasy collector’s edition, and it’s far more amazing than I thought it would be. I knew it would come in the form of a book (the world is called Grymoire, after all; it’s a pun, like everything else in the game), but I wasn’t prepared for the size of the book or its presentation. It’s an amazing collector’s edition, and it has all the bells and whistles a collector’s edition for a video game should have. Better yet, it wasn’t nearly as expensive and most CEs list for these days. I’m sure you’ve noticed I didn’t pick up a Gears of War 4 CE, right? Even I have my price limits, believe it or not.

Here is the full unboxing of the World of Final Fantasy collector’s edition. Enjoy! I know I plan to.
