Unboxing the Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Collector’s Edition

August 24, 2016 By Keri Honea Leave a Comment

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided released yesterday, and it indeed had a Collector’s Edition. Of course I preordered it immediately, as my CE throne can always be bigger and more grand. Once again, I don’t remember what all came with it, but I was pleased with everything within. The full unboxing video is below!

The Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Collector’s Edition contains all of the digital goodies advertised with the failed and awful “Augment Your Preorder” program that Square Enix attempted to implement when preorders for the game first opened. It also contains a code for a digital download for a composer’s sample of the game’s soundtrack. Most likely, me being me, I’ll fall in love with the composer’s sample and then buy the full soundtrack.

What really stands out with this CE, other than the two pieces of mystery I still haven’t researched, are the steelbook case and statue. The artwork on the steelbook case is some of the best I’ve ever seen. And while the stand to the Adam Jensen statue feels rather cheap, the statue itself is nicely painted and rather well made. I think my money was well spent.

Now I just have to play the game and see if that makes it worth it. I have a feeling I will love it.

Keri Has a CE Problem – Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness Collector’s Edition Unboxing

June 28, 2016 By Keri Honea Leave a Comment

I used to do unboxing videos of video game collector’s editions for Action Trip, but as that is going by the wayside and my love for these collector’s editions is not, I’m going to continue to unbox them and share them here.

So here is my first of many, and I’m bringing in another fellow CE aficionado to do some unboxings as well. I present the unboxing video of the Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness collector’s edition.

Initial Impressions of the Dark Souls III Strategy Guide by Prima Games

April 26, 2016 By Chris Nitz Leave a Comment

I finally got my grubby hands on the Dark Souls III strategy guide by Prima Games. As we’ve had some questions come in about this guide I figured I would make a small video covering unboxing, initial impressions, and should you buy it. The biggest question I start to tackle is how well does the Prima Games guide stack up to the rock solid guides that Future Press published on the earlier games in this series. Well, a small spoiler on that. It doesn’t hold up well. Yeah, I’m sad and I haven’t even finished the guide.

Unboxing the Quantum Break Strategy Guide

April 6, 2016 By Keri Honea Leave a Comment

It’s always a good day when a new strategy guide arrives, and today that book is the Quantum Break strategy guide. Or, as I should say, Quantum Break: The Secret History of Time Travel, as that is what the book is entitled.

So yes, it’s here, and what does it have for those looking to get that 100%? Well, this is what I can tell from first impressions:

Full review should be coming in the next week or so. If you’re playing Quantum Break, I hope you’re enjoying it. It’s definitely a one-of-a-kind experience.
