Unboxing the Mass Effect: Andromeda Collector’s Edition Strategy Guide

March 28, 2017 By Keri Honea Leave a Comment

The Mass Effect: Andromeda Collector’s Edition strategy guide arrived today, one week after the game’s release, but it is definitely worth the wait. I’m happy I bought it even though I didn’t enjoy the game very much. For starters, I love strategy guides (duh) and secondly, backpacks are cool. Can’t have too many backpacks. You can have too many purses, but too many backpacks? Please.

And thus I have it, and I am rather pleased with it. Super thankful for my Amazon Prime discount, though, because I don’t believe the Pathfinder Edition is entirely worth $130. Watch the video for yourself to see why!

And now it is time for me to roll a new character and play the way I WANT to play. I think I’m gonna like this strategy guide-only thing with video games.

Titanfall 2 Strategy Guide Review

February 3, 2017 By Blake Grundman Leave a Comment

Welcome to another installment of Better Late Than Never Theater, hosted by me, the master of procrastination!

It is time to party like it is Fall 2016. Never mind the fact that we are two months into 2017… “Let’s do the timewarp, again!” *Cue the corny Saved By the Bell flashback transition*

Boy is Titanfall 2 great! The series has finally gone multiplatform and getting solid reviews from fans and critics alike. With that in mind, it only seems fitting to examine if Prima Games’ accompanying strategy guide covers the newly introduced single player campaign as well as the guide for the original installment covered multiplayer. Spoiler Alert: It does a pretty damn solid job on both fronts. Once again, the multiplayer is the star of the show and the guide knocks it out of the park. But don’t just take my word for it, let me tell you about it more in our video review…

Gears of War 4 Strategy Guide Review

February 2, 2017 By Keri Honea Leave a Comment

I know this is QUITE the timely review, but here I am with a Gears of War 4 strategy guide review. I just finished the game last week, and I hope to get more on the ball with guides in 2017. Starting off with a 2016 strategy guide just seems the best way to do it. So here it is, Gears of War 4, in all of its chainsaw ripping glory. The game was a bit of a disappointment, but at least the strategy guide was not. I’ll take it.

Pokémon Visual Companion Second Edition Book Review

January 6, 2017 By Chris Nitz Leave a Comment

I am totally rusty when it comes to video reviews, but that doesn’t diminish the pleasure it was to review the Pokémon Visual Companion Second Edition. If you’ve never watched the Pokémon cartoon before, or you just want to know how the games and the cartoons coincide with one another, this book will help you get that lore under your feet. Fans of this series, this book is well worth adding to your collection!

Playing with Power: Nintendo NES Classics Review

November 18, 2016 By Chris Nitz Leave a Comment

I grew up playing a lot of Nintendo. While the Atari 2600 was my first console, it was the NES that totally got me hooked on gaming. The amount of time my friends and I spent sitting on the floor playing some random game my parents rented from the local video store is countless. Prima Games has now tapped into that nostalgia with their Playing with Power: Nintendo NES Classics book. This book comes with all kinds of little tidbits of Nintendo information, as well as guides for some of the most popular NES games.

Prima Games, please make more of these! PLEASE!!!!
